Pixie “Pea” Whittington

June 17, 2011 - June 7, 2018
Pixie was born on June 17, 2011 in Harpers Ferry, WV. She found a wonderful home with Brian, Laurie and Ashley Whittington where she was adored. She also shared this family with her sister Gucci.
Pixie loved to eat treats, watch birds, have special talks with her mommy, play with her sister, listen to her daddy play the guitar, and most of all carry her mouse through the house.

Mamacita Shields

2011 ~ May 27, 2018

Mamacita was born somewhere in Flint Hill and was rescued by the Shields family.  She loved to wrestle and snuggle with her Dad; also to sit on your feet.  Mamacita enjoyed playing with her bones and a rubber tire outside.  Her special trick was making peanut butter disappear!  Mamacita cherished life and all it had to offer by laying down in front of the basement door watching and looking for bunnies and squirrels; watching us in the kitchen while cooking; going for car rides and hiking.

Lilah Jenkins

Lilah was adopted from the SPCA as a kitten in 2003.  She lived the life of a princess and made the rules of the house!  Lilah loved to eat, sleep and play with feathers on a string; and to snack on some catnip.  When her mommy would say prayers, Lilah would stick her paw in her mommy’s mouth.  She always gave Nicole kisses, making her lips raw.  Lilah loved to talk; meowing for someone to listen.

Baby Girl Jarrell

02/12/2013 -

Baby Girl was mistreated and beaten when she came to me.  I taught her how to be loved and she became very protective of me.

She loved to play with her best toy, a puppy dog; however her favorite was to play in the snow with her nose.   She also enjoyed chasing a laser light, playing ball and trying to catch bubbles.

Kolby Elaine Burchfield

Kolby Elaine Burchfield passed away unexpectedly on Saturday April 7 2018

We know very little about his life prior to his joining our family.

Amy Hilderbrand

Our second beloved pet's name was Amy.  She, along with her sister Gracie, was found on the beach in Panama City, Florida.  According to the vet, she had to have been born sometime around Hurricane Ivan, so Judy gave the dogs the birthday of August 11, 2004. Her sister, Gracie, passed away on June 07, 2017. In the picture, Amy is on the left and Gracie is on the right.

Amy left us on February 19, 2018 in Winchester, Virginia. She was 13 years, 6 months old.

Peaches Apricot Lilac Moon Youngblood

Peaches was born in Sperryville, VA on June 28, 2003.  He came from a Shar-Pei breeder who needed to find a special home for a 4 -month old special boy who had been abused by a former owner.  Peaches came to me when I called him and that was how we became a family.

Peaches loved to run and go for hikes.  His favorite thing had been our weekend hikes to nearby parks; he especially liked Cacapon State and Clearbrook parks.   Peaches also loved his stuffed animals with squeakers - his favorite when he was a pup was his sheep toy.

Mindy Moore

June, 2005 – February 13, 2018

Dave and Diane selected Mindy from a litter of pups their friends had in.  Mindy loved to bird watch, swim as most dogs do, and chew on her basketball.  She loved that basketball; Mindy would want you to throw her the ball and she would try to catch it.
