Duke Snickers Feltner

September 21, 2007 – August 20, 2020

Duke came into our lives as a rescue from the Clarke County SPCA.  When we saw him, we knew he was the forever fur baby for us!  His granddad, Bill, gave Duke his new name.  Prior to living in the shelter, he was part of a hunt club; which Duke didn’t enjoy, so his previous owners turned him into the SPCA; which was lucky for us!!

Duke loved to eat and spend time with his mommy.  He would pawl his mommy’s knee when she was eating, to remind her he was waiting for a bite.  After eating, Duke would jump up on the couch and roll over on his back and snort, while he was wiggling around.  When at the beach he would try to sneak up on the sea gulls.

Duke lived with us for 8 years and we loved each and every second of it.  He crossed the Rainbow Bridge on August 20th, at home, surrounded by his family.  He is survived by us, his parents; Grandma Pat; Uncle Timmy, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Wayne, Aunt Amanda and Lianna.

Everyone who met Duke loved him.  He was a quiet and gentle dog.  Duke loved his mommy dearly.  They spent many happy hours together and will be connected forever.  We will see him in Heaven, one day, and everything will be right again.  We love you and miss you Duke!

Duke was such a quiet and loving dog. Terry, he loved you so much. I will always treasure my time with him and I loved being his great-aunt Jackie. I'm going to miss seeing him when I visit. I'm so sorry for your loss. May the Lord give you comfort knowing Duke is with Dad now and they are enjoying time together. Love you Duke.
Loss can be so painful. But just remember Duke is free from pain and discomfort. He was part of a very loving family and will truly be missed. Terry you gave Duke love and compassion needed in his time of need. He knows how much you loved him. Dad will look after him now till you meet again. You know how dad loved him. They both will be with you always.
