Piper Longerbeam

July 31, 2003 – January 8, 2020

I fell in love with the Australian Cattle Dog breed and saw an ad in the paper.  I called and Piper was the only girl left.  She was a birthday present to myself.  Piper loved going for a ride and to be with Keith and me.  She enjoyed playing with her stuffed yellow duck named, Woobie and a mammoth named, Mannie.  Piper did have a special trick she would perform; she could “woo-woo” and wave.

Piper belonged to the Blue Ridge Dog Training Club for a time, where she was awarded an AJP – Excellent Agility Jumpers with Weaves Preferred and AXP – Excellent Agility Preferred.

When she was younger Piper loved rawhides.  One day I saw her with three and thought nothing of it – thinking she may have hid some.  I then see five on the floor and then six, I followed her and saw that she had found the bag of rawhides and was taking whatever she wanted.  Piper was such a loving, however ornery girl!

Piper is survived by me, her mom, Cassie Longerbeam and dad, Keith Tiffany; as well as Kiwi, Chad and JoAnn Longerbeam, Andy Wisecarver, Jean Hook and the staff at Apple Valley Animal Hospital.

Everyone that met her fell in love with her.  Piper was with me through thick and thin.  She defied the norm… Best Dog Ever!
