Gracie Hilderbrand

Our beloved pet's name was Gracie.  She, along with her sister Amy, was found on the beach in Panama City, Florida.  According to the vet, she had to have been born sometime around Hurricane Ivin, so Judy gave the dogs the birthday of August 11, 2004. Gracie is the beautiful dog on the right.

GOD brought us these two dogs to save our lives, to mend our health, and they did a wonderful job.

She left us on June 7, 2017 in Winchester, Virginia. She was 12 years, 10 months old.

One of my memories of her was her ability to sit on her back quarters and beg for something to eat.  She could hold that pose for several minutes.  We would always say no but in the end she would win and get a treat.  She knew she would win.

Also, Gracie would wait for me at the front door when it was time for me to arrive home each day.  At night, she would lay next to me so I could touch and rub her back.  She lowered my blood pressure and made me feel good in the evening.

Gracie was always the first one to go outside and first one to come back in.  Outside, she would take off running and boy could she run.

Gracie was more than a pet.  Yes, she was spoiled, smart, well behaved and an excellent watch dog. Gracie was a life companion, a great friend, a great dog and she will be greatly missed.
