K9 Officer, Argo Waybright

Argo, as most K9 Officers, was born in the Czech Republic on November 15, 2009.  He became partners with Officer, Adam Waybright in 2011.  During his active duty he enjoyed apprehending bad guys.  Out of many, many tricks Argo knew he loved jumping thru car windows to bite the guy in the “bite” suit!   On his last call, while serving as a patrol dog with VSP, he located and apprehended a suspect hiding under a bed.  Argo knew how to immediately turn off “work mode” at the end of each day.  He served with the Virginia State Police from 2011 – 2016.

After his retirement, Argo loved following his dad around and playing with his Kong.  He became a loving and patient pet to the Waybright family.  He would go into their 3 year old’s room each night and tuck her into bed; ending the day with a kiss and a big hug.

Argo crossed the Bridge on September 2, 2018 at his home in Edinburg.  He is survived by Adam, Ennedi, Olivia and Bodhi Waybright; also by Xeia and Sntanko.

Argo gave his all for country, duty and family; he will be greatly missed.
